This will help visitors to the area find the best places to go and might even provide some inspiration for us locals too. Cheddar Caves and Gorge
300 million years in the making,limestone cliffs towering 450 feet above a gorge,3 miles long.Imagine the view! Cheddar Gorge is protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act because it is home to many rare plants and animals with it's fantastic caves it is certainly worth a visit.
Fleet Air Arm Museum
Perry's cider farm is open to visitors everyday apart from Christmas Day and is a good experience wether you like cider or not,it is still a working farm and the smell of apples is intoxicating in itself.Go and see the old presses that are still used today and get a FREE taster what could be better?
The Donkey Sanctuary
The Donkey Sanctuary is open all year round and admission and parking is free.There are around 400 donkeys on site some are retired,some are rescued but they are all lovely!You can even adopt a Donkey and help to keep the charity going.During school holidays the sanctuary holds interactive workshops for children,there is no need to book but children must be accompanied by an adult.
