A warm welcome awaits you in this lovely traditional 16th century pub,we are next to the beautiful Minster for which the pub was built,and have a large outdoor seating area from which to watch the world go by.Or stay inside and enjoy the sound of people chatting and enjoying a relaxing tipple,or a game of Pool,either way you are welcome
The Dolphin is at the centre of a thriving medieval market town and is used by young and old for good quality ales,wines and lagers,but also for our homemade food,cooked by our own dedicated in house chef Carol.All of our ingredients are sourced locally, and have 100% traceability.We also cater for Vegetarians,Vegans,and people with different allergies,in fact really,because our ingredients are fresh,you could almost suggest your own choices!!!.The doors open at 10am and we start our food offering from 12pm til 2.30 Monday to Friday,Saturday and Sunday we cook breakfast from 9am till 1130 then straight into lunch until 3pm,During the winter months the kitchen is closed Sunday,Monday and Tuesday evenings,but full service resumes from 6pm Wednesday,Thursday Friday and Saturday.
We have live music of one kind or another every month and pool is very popular with the locals.We also have BT Sports and Sky Sports

All our meat is purchased locally and is 100% traceable, from accredited herds with traceable sources. All our vegetables are seasonal and yes, all our food offerings are homemade in our 5* kitchens
Our cosy dining area is separate and intimate and our small but efficient team are on hand to assist with your order and to make your experience a very happy one.
Fresh Tea and Bean to cup Coffee, and the tastiest Hot Chocolate, are served all day,so if you are just walking your dog or passing time pop in and see us and be assured of a warm welcome.
We are situated in an ideal area for visiting places of extreme interest including National Trust properties,the Jurassic Coast,Cheddar Gorge and we are not far from Exmoor National Park to name but a few,also we have Cider Mills and a Cider Museum almost on the doorstep.
